Possum Traps

A possum in the roof is usually a Brushtail possum, although occasionally Ringtails may enter your roof to find a home. A good way to remove a possum from your roof is to relocate it using a possum trap. Remember that possums are a protected species so please check with your local state authority prior to carrying out a trapping program. The possum trap can be placed in the roof space and set using an attractant such as half an apple. Leave the trap overnight. Once the possum has been captured you can relocate it outside. Remember to block up the access point / hole where the possum is gaining entry to your roof to prevent it from going back in.
