INVADER MAX Ant and Cockroach Granular Bait contains a unique range of feeding attractants designed to enhance feeding in all colony development stages making it the most advanced ant and cockroach bait in Australia. While other baits target specific species, INVADER MAX is effective against a wide range of species including black and brown ants.

When used for cockroaches INVADER MAX produces results equal to those of Gel Baits. Exceptional levels of control are delivered since INVADER MAX meets cockroaches’ preference for a solid cereal based diet, which means they eat more of the granular bait.

Formulated with feeding enhancers including; oils, sugars and proteins, INVADER MAX is both highly palatable and highly active.

INVADER MAX is ideal for use around buildings, trees, lawns, gardens or along driveways and paths. INVADER MAX is especially effective around ant mounds and can even be used in cracks and crevices indoors in areas such as kitchens where cockroaches or ants are present.

Is Invader Max Ant Bait suitable for Coastal Brown Ants?

Yes, Invader Max Ant Bait is highly suitable and effective for Coastal Brown Ants (also known as Big-Headed Ants).

In fact, it is specifically formulated to handle these challenging, multi-queen colonies. Here is why it works well for them and how to get the best results:

Why it’s effective
Active Ingredient (Fipronil): It contains 0.1g/kg Fipronil, a non-repellent, slow-acting insecticide. This allows worker ants to carry the granules back to the nest and share them with the queens and larvae before they die, leading to total colony elimination.

Dual Attractant: Coastal Brown Ants are notoriously picky and usually prefer oils and proteins. Invader Max uses a specialized cereal-based bait matrix with a blend of feeding enhancers (oils, sugars, and proteins) to ensure they find it palatable.

Granular Format: Because Coastal Brown Ants often create vast "super-colonies" across lawns and gardens, granular baits like this are easier to broadcast over large areas than gels or liquids.

Pro-Tips for Coastal Brown Ants
To ensure the treatment is successful, keep these "rules of engagement" in mind.

Don't "Heap" the Bait: Do not pour it in piles on the mounds. This can actually scare the ants or cause them to move the nest. Instead, broadcast it lightly and evenly around the active areas.

The "30-Minute Test": Before doing a full application, place a tiny amount near a trail. If the ants don't "attack" it within 30 minutes, they might currently be in a "sugar phase." If that happens, wait a few days or supplement with a liquid/gel bait.

Timing is Key: Coastal Brown Ants are most active in the late afternoon and evening. Applying the bait then ensures it's fresh when they are foraging.

Keep it Dry: Fipronil granules lose their "crunch" and attractiveness if they get wet. Check the weather and ensure no rain (or sprinklers) are expected for at least 24 hours.
