    Active Ingredient: Bromethalin @ 0.1g/kg and Denatonium Benzoate (Bittering Agent)

    TOMCAT® with Bromethalin Blox is a revolutionary rodenticide that contains the active ingredient Bromethalin. It's the first product of its kind to be registered for use against rodents in Australia, and helps save users time and money with its effective knockdown when compared to anticoagulant alternatives.

    THE FASTEST-ACTING BLOCK RODENTICIDE

    Rodents can consume a lethal dose of TOMCAT® with Bromethalin Blox rodenticide in just a single night’s feeding and may succumb to the poison in as little as 2 days. This means more rodents can be controlled with less bait. It’s unique formulation also makes it effective against rats and mice that are resistant to anticoagulant solutions.

    SUPERIOR PRODUCT & TECHNOLOGY

    Bell Labs’ unique extrusion process produces a hard, multiple-edged bait that combines the palatability of a meal bait, with the weatherability of a paraffinized bait. TOMCAT® with BROMETHALIN BLOX RODENTICIDE is registered for use in and around industrial, commercial, and agricultural buildings. It is suitable for an initial rodent treatment, population knockdown, or as part of a rotational bait program.

    Why choose Tomcat Bromethalin Blox Rodenticide

    • Brand new active and mode of action in the Australian market.
    • Controls of rats and mice including those resistant to warfarin anticoagulant.
    • The acute active Bromethalin is the fastest acting rodenticide approved for use around buildings.
    • Extend the protection zone (can be used with 30m) of building or permanent structures.
    • Rats and mice cease feeding after consuming a toxic dose.
    • A bright new 15gram purple block.

    The Tomcat Bromethalin is a highly palatable block bait for the control of rats and mice including those resistant to anticoagulants in and around buildings. Norway rats, Roof rats and House mice usually consume a lethal dose in a single night’s feeding, but it may take two or more days from the time of bait consumption for these rodents to die. Rats and Mice cease feeding after consuming a toxic dose.

    What rodents does Tomcat Bromethalin Blox Rodenticide target;

    • Mice (Mus musculus) (House Mice) species resistant to warfarin.
    • Rat (Rattus norvegicus, Rattus rattus) (Norway rats, Roof rats) species resistant to warfarin.

    Where can Tomcat Bromethalin Blox Rodenticide be used;

    • In and around agricultural, industrial and commercial buildings.
    • Animal houses.
    • Farms.
    • Wharves.
    • Public service buildings.
    • Food factories.
    • Hospitals.
    • Inside transport vehicles (including ships).
    • Around grain terminals.

    MECHANISM OF ACTION

    • Bromethalin is the active ingredient in Tomcat Bromethalin Blocks. It is a neurotoxic rodenticide, meaning it directly affects the rodent's nervous system.
    • The primary mechanism of action prevents the rodent's brain cells from producing enough adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is essential for cellular energy.
    • This ATP depletion inhibits the activity of the sodium-potassium pump, leading to a build-up of sodium and fluid within the brain cells.
    • This accumulation of fluid results in cerebral edema (brain swelling) and increased intracranial pressure.
    • The brain swelling damages nerve axons, inhibiting neural transmission and ultimately leading to death.

    CAUTION

    Do not use in domestic situations

    There is no antidote for bromethalin poisoning in pets. Unlike anticoagulant rodenticides which can often be treated with Vitamin K1, bromethalin poisoning is much more challenging to treat and often has a poor prognosis once severe neurological signs develop. Therefore, extreme caution and the use of tamper-resistant bait stations are crucial to prevent accidental exposure to non-target animals, including pets and children.
