This live catch rat trap features a tapering tunnel entrance with a secondary holding cage. A rear door to remove captive rats. (Many of our customers have claimed they have caught up to 10 rats) so that would confirm that this Live Rat Trap is capable of catching whole families of rats.

    Baiting the Monarch Multi Catch Rat Trap for maximum effectiveness we have found as well as customer feedback, that Bacon, Cat Food, Dried Fruit, Chocolate or Peanut Butter are great luring baits. Furthermore, even Dental Floss as nesting material is also popular as they could be scavenging for this.

    Its almost impossible to open the cage door its so tight. I used pliers, hurt my fingers - can’t imagine if a rat was actually in there when doing that. Contacted the seller Easy Pest Supplies and they told me on the phone they are aware of the issue. Why are they still selling them? I wasted so much time waiting for the delivery, then looking up why I couldn’t open the cage door! Overseas models have a better apparatus with the same trap name. I then had to arrange the return. Now I have contacted them yet again as it was delivered as a return back to them a week ago and still no refund. Total waste of money and 4 weeks of not having a working trap I required. Also, their trap seemed to be secondhand as it had light rust and a dent in the steel.
