Flies
Flies are considered pests for several reasons. One of the main reasons is due to their flying habits causing annoyance to humans. This is not only annoying but can also be viewed as unhygienic and cause embarrassment for food processing establishments such as cafes and restaurants.
Flies also pose a significant threat to public heath with their ability to transmit diseases such as Salmonella, dysentry, hepatitis, typhoid fever and other internal parasites. As a result, fly control is extremely important especially in food processing establishments.

Effective fly control usually involves an integrated approach of both chemical and non-chemical control methods. Improved hygiene and sanitation is the most important factor. The quick and efficient removal of garbage and waste products will reduce fly numbers by reducing attractants and breeding sites.
