Maxforce Quantum Liquid Ant Bait (containing HVL technology) is a long-lasting, broad spectrum, cost-effective viscous liquid bait providing fast colony control. Bait remains palatable to ants for 8 weeks after application. Use in and around domestic, commercial and institutional buildings (eg. hospitals, health and aged care facilities, food processing areas, offices, houses and schools).
Maxforce Quantum is a viscous liquid bait made up almost entirely (>99.9%) from naturally derived ingredients. It has been specifically developed with a patented formulation system (HVL Technology) which utilises the uniqueproperties of the ingredients to naturally preserve the bait and ensure long term attractiveness to ants withoutartificial preservatives. Ants are attracted to the bait and then take it back to the nest where the active ingredient killsthe queen, workers and the rest of the nest.
Maxforce Quantum Liquid Ant Bait has been scientifically tested in Australia against Australian ant species and has shown a high level of effectiveness against a range of pest ants. Maxforce Quantum is effective against sugar feeding species as well as protein feeding species:
Conventional liquid baits (and even some gel products) can dry out relatively quickly when exposed to theenvironment and therefore lose their attractiveness to ants. Maxforce Quantum utilizes HVL (Hygroscopic ViscousLiquid) Technology to extend the life of the bait and ensure long-lasting effectiveness.HVL Technology utilises the unique properties of a naturally derived ingredient to not only functionas a preservative (eliminating the need for artificial preservatives which can impact on palatabilityto ants) but also to result in a product which exhibits hygroscopic properties. (Hygroscopic meansto attract or readily absorb moisture from the air - in other words this means ‘non-drying’).As a result, the liquid nature of Maxforce Quantum is maintained over an extended period andthe bait remains attractive to ants virtually indefinitely. Trials show that Maxforce Quantumpalatability significantly outlasts other competitor gels.
Worker ants are liquid feeders. They have features called buccal filters which prevents them from ingesting solidbaits. They are naturally more attracted to liquid based baits which are easy to imbibe and carry back to their nests.Maxforce Quantum is therefore in a physical state which completely matches their preference. This can be readilyobserved by the high level of attractiveness and rapid uptake of this bait to target pest ants. (Note that granular baitsusually contain a proportion of oil in which the toxicant is distributed.)Worker ants must therefore either take oil from the granules or carry the granules back to the nest for the juvenilestages (that can ingest solid food).
Maxforce Quantum Liquid Ant Bait offers economical ant control that lasts from one quarterly service visit to the next.
Unlike ant gel baits that begin to lose moisture immediately, Maxforce Quantum Liquid Ant Bait's hydroscopic formula retains and absorbs moisture keeping it attractive.
Maxforce provides a Quantum leap for ant control.
Ideal for quarterly service accounts or whenever extended control of ants is desired.
Foraging ants easily consume the attractive, syrup-like formula and return to the colony where they feed the bait to both larvae and the queen(s)
The delayed action kill, made possible by the Bayer® active ingredient imidacloprid, eliminates the entire colony, even those hidden in inaccessible areas, through the exclusive Maxforce Domino Effect™
Ants are attracted to this bait and greater numbers of ants will be seen around the bait for some time after placement. An effect on the ant population can be expected within 7 days, when frequency of foragers will decline. Most nests are eliminated within 14 days. However, under some circumstances like very high ant numbers or re-invasion, total control may take up to 2 months.
Under such circumstances the use of an integrated management program utilising other control methods (eg. outdoor barrier sprays) may also be warranted. (Note that if accurate ant identification has not been peformed and the pest ants are not observed feeding on this bait within minutes after placement then it is likely that alternative management techniques may be required).
